One DM500s works the other will not work properly.

Dunner here, I bought a DM500 second-hand it is not a clone this is why I went for it but it wont lock on some transformers both H & V so I bought a new one a clone as we wanted two boxes it works great I have had them both on the same Dish, LNB scart lead etc but the original box will not lock on some transponders when I bought the new box I got a new tuner for the original one I have had it fitted but it is still the very same I downloaded the PLi Jade3 Borsalino image from Digital-Kaos and installed that it is still the very same I really am only a beginner and only for all the details on Digital-Kaos I would not have tried to install the image the guy I bought the box from said that the tuner in the DM500s boxes was not the best if he had told the truth I would not have bought it and I gave more than a new clone would cost (more fool me) I have wasted time moving the dish etc and all the while he knew the box was faulty I really would appreciate any help please as I would really like to get it running properly many thanks > Dunner.

it sounds like the second hand box you bought is knackered..
You say you changed the tuner on the second hand box but it still doesn't work..?

Have you tried a different image..??

When you say you have them on the same LNB, do you have a Quad LNB or have you split the cable..??

If you have split the cable this could be your problem

I have an original D500s and i've never had a problem with my tuner.. but i have heard others say they have

Yes I have a quad LNB and I use two different cables to two different rooms but both the new box and my old digibox will work on either but the original box picks up about 90% of the channels as in a load of BBC1 from different areas no BBC London no BBC2,3,4 no Film4 as well as others and this is even when it is the only box connected. I put a new image on it today it is still the same any channels that are on it the picture is great. The signal strength on the Digibox is really strong and the new box could not be better these are working perfectly but connect the original box and it will not lock on some transponders hope you can help me > Dunner.

sounds like a knackered box.. they guy who sold you it probably knew about it.. I'd be in touch and asking for my money back or a brick through his window

I would like to thank Digital-Kaos and all their members who kindly offered me their help and support with my DM500s I still think they are a great box but I was lied to all the way and even today I discovered that it was a clone not a genuine box (another lie) however this is not the fault of the box and it is gone where all good boxes go.
