DM500s does not boot anymore

The Dreambox worked fine with the Jade image,suddenly it wont boot anymore,I see the Jade image for 2 seconds,then nothing,then again and so on.Looks to me it wont boot .So I tried Dreamup 2.82,but it does not reckognize the box.I'm a very beginner and have no idea how to get the box running again.I got a router connection or a nullmodem cable,but I have no idea about a rescue procedere,it would not matter if I loose all settings and channels. The computer works on XP with SP2. Whoever has an idea please use a beginners language to explain me what to do.Have a great day Optos

Thank you a thousand times for your help,it worked instantly.Just one more thing:When I start Dreamup2.82 the message comes up ;find no boot manager.Thats probably why the problem occured.To be honest I have no idea how to establish one.Can you help me ?Optos

i have the same problem, my dm500 respond to ping but no ftp or telnet, how can i flash without lousing the actual configuration
