hi guys i want to stream my dreambox from remote location and i just want to know my possibilties of this working.... is there much involved and has anyone achieved this with 500s?? i have followed tutorials on how to access dreambox from remote network and was able to access dream interface on other network.. so how much more is involved thanks guys.

reading the tutorial on this topic posted by devilfish i still have problems it says do this in tutorial- "
To broadcast and view the stream
1. Start dreamView, and select the channel you want to stream.
2. Stream > Output > Server Output = ticked
3. Stream > Output > Start Output
You should now see a poorish quality picture playing in dreamView, and may pause quite a lot, don?t worry. This is normal. If you see a massive orange and white cone, click on the channel again on the left and pause for a few seconds, you may have to do this several times until the picture appears.
Open note pad and type in http://whatever.kicks-ass.net:8080 and save it as a .m3u file eg. Mystream.m3u. Right click it and associate it with VLC player.
Double click on the saved file and it should open VLC player and your stream should appear. You can send this file to your mate for viewing.

when i start output on the program it crashes and closes so no joy, also i can not edit file in note pad i get choice of *.txt or all files how do i get m3u.
