Dreambox has arrived.

I just got my Dreambox 500S , I have an old sky dish up on roof ready to go,its pointing in the correct direction. Anybody know how to scan the channels into the Dreambox?Is there a guide for this?

If you are have a sky dish up there then it'll be pointing at 28.2e. Not a lot on there except fta unless you have a sky sub. Unless you go down the card sharing route (not to be talked about here) then you'll find the only place worth pointing your dish at is 1w.

could this also be the reason why i get c1/d3 (156 etc)
instead of the optus c1(156 etc) as i have a similar setup, as mentioned above and am getting fta channels only, i understand the card sharing is a no no subject on here and fully understand why, but was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction ? maybe need to change dish position to 1W and then searching / scan for channels ?

you are wasting your time moving your dish to 1w west as a sky dish is far to small to get a decent signal on 1w
