problems recording with ngrab - dm500s

hi, im still tring to get the most from my dreambox, the next thing im trying to do is record onto my pc

this is what iv done so far:

downloaded and installed ngrab => right clicked on the icon in the task bar, clicked on einstellungen, then clicked on dbox-einstellungen

i then put the dreambox ip into it and set the port to 4000

when i do this in the box below i get error messages

    saying error 404

iv also set the save location on my pc and set up my dreambox the way all the tutorials show but its not recording - when i click ngrab recording on the dreambox it flashies and nothing else, is it something im missing

    thanks

Theres more to setting up Ngrab correctly other than just installing it and adding a few addresses. You could try this which works on E1 and E2. Vlc must be installed, a pre version 9 works best.

for ngrab you need a NFS server running on your pc?
( sorry been a while but pretty sure you do)..
you can more easily mount a PC shared drive and use that,, easier than ngrab boom!
