I am not sure of the support on the TM600 but i guess it would be, as for the DM500S there main use is CS.

they are box fine for cs and can run cccam2.13
i have had technomates and dreambox both are very good recivers i find the tunner on the technomate 1000 better than the tunner on my ?900 dreambox 8000 in fact i could pick some transponders on showtime 7w on my 1 meter dish with the technomate but nothing with the dreambox thats why i had to get a 1.5m also the dreamboxs clones have been hit by dreammultimedia in the past leaving them usless unit they were brought back to life via j tagging and this may happen again were as the technomate are geniune and dont use the images with dreammulti media drivers in them so they will be safe from any future attacks.
to be honnest i am in the same boat as you i want a cheap non HD box for the lads bedroom and my mind says technomate but my hart say dreambox

Mate, you can trust my words. i have had both, for the lads (unless theyre like me ) there is nothing better than a TM. simple and can do everything. it will never crash.

TM are a very solid reciever and UK based so always good, don't ever see CLONE TM's either which could be classed as a good point.

Its true yeah, and doesn't make a lot of difference, however if you dont like the image your a big buggered where as with the DM500s you got a little more choice.
