New to 500S - How does it work?

I'm new to the satellite world and I wana learn.

I have a dish that was on Sky and now I wana invest on a 500S. Once I have the 500S, what do I do? What do I need? (PS, I have a router nearby)

mm, depends what your trying to do,,,

you do realise you wont open all the channels by magic like cable does,
FTA only on sky dish my friend.
(p.s you scan on 28.2e Astra/Eurobird ) to bring the channels in on that dish

If the dish is redundant, get the ladders out and move it to 13e or 19e, there are Eurpean sky packages that are hacked like cable and you will get loads of sport and movies.

If you keep it on 28.2e you will only get free channels, as satman says, unless you have a valid sky digital card.
