    Dreambox 500s in Spain

    Hi

If I were to buy a dreambox 500s and use it on a communial dish in Spain would/could the tuner be too weak? The dish is massive but I don't know the actual size. Obviously it does feed amny many property.

Also would I be able to set it up in the UK to recieve anything more than the existing old reciever (which was meant to have a strong tuner - can't even remember the make - might be an old Pace).

I have no access to PC in Spain and certainly would not want to be bringing 500s back to UK to update.

    Thanks in advance.

I doubt you will be able to use a satellite dreambox properly without a pc and an internet connection. If anything goes wrong then you are going to need a null modem cable and a pc to flash an image.

As I thought. Broadband connection in Spain is expensive and it makes the whole thing a non starter for the few weeks I'm there.

You could prepare and take it with you and hope for the best because you should recive the free channels if the dreambox is correctly configured.
