    Sharing a CS Account locally

Ok so I'm up and running with a paid account, from reading this forum it seems the DM500 is also a CS server, Im sure this has been asked before but I searched and could'nt find anything, so can i share my CS account with another box in the kids room or our bedroom? they are all on the same network or do I have to have a local card to share (Im sure ive also read of people sharing shares but I couldnt locate the original page).

Also when I am viewing a channel the info bar displays hops: 1 does this mean I am 1 hop away from a local card, ie the provider has the local cards physically plugged into the server.

    Thanks in advance

maybe not if you are on a payed server they may block it but yes that is what hop 1 means

At the risk of sounding dumb, how would they know as I would assume that the primary box with the CCCam.cfg with the Paid Cline would send requests not the 2nd box.

or are the servers clever enough to know roughly how many requests are sent from a single box.

can anyone point me to a guide on setting it up ie. setting up the primary dm500 as a server to the point of getting a username and password for the 2nd box.

      thanks

      Marc

many pay servers dont have that time to monitor every connection. Some have maybe 200 clients.

You can connect from different locations but not at the same time.

Google will give you all your answerers as this site doesnt allow this subject to be discussed
