DM800s wont bootup

(its a 500s not 800)
i have a friend who has a dreambox 500s which was working fine and all of a sudden it no longer boots. It powers up but all you get is a blank screen, used to boot into gemini 4.2. He says he hasnt messed with it :-). If anyone could help me with any instructions on how to get it working would be much appreciated

power supply that is too weak? Try another.

yep power supply is a bit poo, if thats not the issue just reflash it
