darkstar II problem

hi all am a newbie at the sat side of things but from the help of this site ive learnt a hell of alot by just reading post after post and all the guides.My problem is that ive just flashed my new dm500s with the darkstar 2 image from this website.I thought all went well but cant get the blue button to work, it just reboots. I flashed using lan and dcc. Any suggestions? shall i try a different image? many thanks jay..

Try the Niablosat MaxVar version, this is a great stable image.

or you could use pli jade i was never a fan of the darkstar image ,couldnt get things to go on it tried maxvar ,tihnk i have one still on one of my boxs and it runs fine but i tend to try a few ,pli is on my 600 and i like that one

Had similar problems with the nabilosat image. Maxvar very stable though.

thank you all, i will try pli jade 3 when i get home from work with a null modem cable, as my dm500s is buggered atm. I flashed with the dk image and now the logo comes up and just reboots.I flashed using dcc and transfering the file to /tmp and renaming etc.U guys think i should do a flash erase later on when i get back?
