stopped working 500s

i got back last nite to find my dreambox 500s had frozen and turn it off /on again and still frozen the remote will not turn it on and off it just stops on with no picture

use dreamup if you cant reload backup image.

Dreamup, null modem cable will kick start your box. Flash new image or re-flash the same image as in box. Its not dead.

I have a dreambox 500s which was conected to the ADSL modem and satelite dish. I bought a switch in order to have two ports and be able to use the internet and watch the TV chanels from the dreambox at the same time. After I tried to network through the switch, the dreambox dosnt conect the the ADSL anymore, do you have any idea how to resolve the issue.

lilig you need a router for you modem too a splitter wont work

This happened to me although dreamup was no help now it's sat there like a not so nifty looking paperweight

I used to have this sort of problem with my dm500 every few months and eventually got rid of it for a dm600. Just flash it with a new image.

You find the dm600 alot more reliable? i was swaying as to upgrade but don't wanna just get it and have same issue

The dm500 is a cheap and cheerful box and is good for a first time box but the dm600 is far more reliable and superior.I ahve a dm600 original and a dm600 clone and both are just as good. I would go out and buy a clone dm800 if i thought it was half as reliable as the clone dm600.
