setting dreambox 500s to computer

Have you connected to it before now? your should put the dreambox i.p in flashfxp and disable dhcp in dreambox

Best way to test connectivity is type in the ip address of your box into your web browser.

Why don't you try using Dreambox Control Center. Easier for newbies in my opinion, rather than fiddling with flash fxp.
