dreambox setup no channels....

nks buddy for reply this is what i have:

ip: 192.168.0.5 (ip address of dreambox)
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
nameserver: 194.168.4.100
gateway: 192.168.0.15

still says not connected check ip address......

If you type 192.168.0.5 into your web browser then you should be able to connect to your dreambox. If you wish to download directly to your box from the internet or image server then the gateway address you have is wrong it should be 192.168.0.1.

How are you connecting your dreambox to your router? Is it with a straight ethernet cable? Have you tried changing your cable? What is the ip address of your pc?

yes mate straight connection to router with ethernet cable. how do i find my ip address of my pc. if all fails il have to change the cable and see

On your pc do Start > Run > cmd > ipconfig /all

im using dreambox edit to connect bthe dreambox

what now then mate ....

You have to make sure you have
1. Connected your broadband to the router.
2. Connected your pc to your router.
3. Connected the DM to the same router.
4. Then from communication setup on the DB, under advanced setup you can see what your DHCP ip is.
5. Enter this ip into your pc's web browser.
6. This should work. After this you can change the ip of the DB and test it again.
