DM500s cooling issues with white cards?

I posted on here a couple of weeks back about getting my fully paid white subscriber card working in a dreambox DM500s (most probably a clone).

It's been working fine up to now and I'm getting used to the menu layout etc.. but I recently read that people have had problems with the white cards overheating in a DM500 after a couple of months of constant use.

Is this true? And if so, what can be done to prevent it? Are there any other dreambox's that I could use in place of the DM500 that won't overheat the card?

    Many thanks,
    Stuart

thats not true. dm500 doesnt burn cards. Its the DM800HD which over heats and cook cards sometimes

i think it did happen on the old blue cards but i havent heard or read anything about it happening on any white cards .if your worried you could consider updating to maybe a dm600 or dm800 etc ,any one of those that has a usb slot at the rear of it and use a smargo card reader . this will ensure your card is cool at all times .i have a card in a box and its not really getting any warmer than in the original box ,but i am going to use the smargo in any case for peace of mind .
i love it when a dreambox comes together.
