cant get dreambox500s to work

i have downloaded dreamup and tried to flash the box with images,once i done this ive connected to sky dish and plugged in scart and the tv but get no signal the tv i useing is just a small 19" lcd but i cant even get into the dreambox menu is that right at this stage

you say you have tried to flash it.. has it worked..? yes or no
what software did you use to flash it..?

have you plugged the scart cable all the way into both the box and the TV..??

have you selected the right AV channel on your TV..??

it sound to me like you havent flashed it correctly..

What colour is the LED on the front of the box..??

it said flash completed
i used dreamup 1.3.3.4, and used the image darkstar 11
yes selected the correct av channels even tried another scart lead just in case
how do i flash it correctly ?
i just get a green light on the box

use the Gemini 4.2 image as suggested..

a steady green light means it has not been flashed correctly

i tried that also i will try again now,should i not be able to accsess drambox menu though ?

not if its not been flashed properly..

the dreambox is basically a mini Linux PC.. if you don't flash the operating software onto it properly it wont work.. same way a PC wont work if you don't loads windows correctly

then the flash has failed..

you need to flash an erase image onto the box.. once this erase image has wiped the box, follow the instructions in the link below fully when flashing Gemini onto the box..
