    Editing transponder data.

    Just got myself a new DM600S, loaded the Pli Jade image on it and found I could recieves everything except what was Thor 1W. I than decided to change to Nabilo Maxvar v.8, when loaded this I found that I could recieve everything except 28.2E. I am using the Captains settings on both images. The problem from what I have read so far is due to the discrepancy between the channel settings and the satellite.xml file. My box does not work with the Pli image because it is expecting Thor to be at 0.8W and it does not work with Nabilo on 28.2E because it is expecting it to be at 28.4E. In dreamboxedit it is possible to change the satellite data so that the captains setting will look for the channels on 0.8W rather than 1.0W but I am unable to find this option. Can anyone else see a way of changing the data in dreamboxedit?

    In the satellites.xml file you should see lines like these for the specified satellites...

    <sat name="Astra2/Eurobird 1 (28.2E)" flags="1" position="282">

    <sat name="Intelsat 10-02/Thor (1.0W)" flags="1" position="-10">

    You can change the position by changing the position="xxx" value.

    Here's an updated satellites.xml file if you want to give it a try.

        Tried what you suggested and I am now able to see 28.4E in the satellite list but still cannot see 0.8W Thor to be able to scan it. Anything else I can try?

          What if you use the Nabilo image to get Thor and then adjust the satellites file to get 28.2 at 28.4???

          Can you not re-store the position for that sat?

              I edited the transponder on the box from 1.0W to 0.8W and that seemed to find a load of channels whereas previously I could not even find the satellite in the list. It has found a load of channels but not all of them particularly the Digitv so I am thinking it may need a bit more fiddling. @westkill thanks for the file I will give it a try when I get home.

                Hi, will this allow me to access Astra 2A/ Astra 2B/ Astra 2C via my DM500s??

                My box is stuck on Astra/Eurobird 28.4E?
