    so much info

    i got a dreambox 500s on its way
    i would like to know what the best/cheapest way to up date it, install , via my laptop what cable will i need there so many out there, would this do the job? USB to RS232 Serial Null Modem Cable COM DB 9 Pin Lead - USB and will i need any thing outher?
    thanks for any info guys xxx I only have usb on my laptop

    can it be done via NETWORK LAN PATCH CABLE LEAD?

              What i will add is if your laptop doesn't have an rs32 connection i would use a pc if you have one.Some people manage to flash using a nullmodem with a usb connection on the other end. I could never flash it successfully using a laptop, and i tried two different boxes and three different laptops

                      As i said m8 it's a bit hit and miss. Some people manage using that lead others like me fail
