    DM500 not locking

    Hi,
My dm500 is receiving signal quality and level of near 100% on 28.2east.

    However I have no lock.
I cannot tune to any channel as it says switch Service could not be found.

I have tried various images but to no avail.

I have left it on overnight on sky news and I got a signal at one point as the time was stuck on 4.15 am.

but obviously the picture was frozen on this when I turned it on this morning.

Tuner is probably faulty but what should I do to check to see what exactly the problem is.

I suspect it may have got some power surge as the coaxial cable had been loose and put back in a number of times in the period up to this fault occurring.

also is my warranty void if i have flashed a new image onto the box.

    Thanks lads,

i see you tried differnt images with results the same, do you or mate have another box that you could back up and flash that fully loaded image? you wouldnt need to scan then. some sellers do say if you have flashed a box, there is no warranty but most sellers would honour a return. its not worth getting it repaired as the tuner is not plug and play it involves lots of soldering.

Short in the cable IE the earth touching the inner core in the fplug very common this can damage tuner and cause it to display 100% snr all the time..!
