DM 500S no lock or sync

    Hi

Just recently bought a dm500s clone box from Wholesale DreamBox 800 HD,DramBox 500, Dreambox 600, digital satellite receiver, satellite meter and am trying to get a sky setup working on it. (note, all the original sky digiboxes are working fine).

I've tried several images, the usual suspects including NabiloDM500-V08-MAXVAR. When setting up and scanning Astra 28.2, I'm continuously getting the no lock or sync error.

SNR is around 70%, AGC 95% BER 0, but nothing. I've also tried replacing the channels.xml with a newer one.

One possible thing to note is that I have a standard zone 1 sky minidish with a universal quad LNB... dunno if I need custom LNB settings?
Either that or the tuner is duff.

    Any suggestions?

Unplug one of your sky boxes and scan the 500 on that line, tuner should be fine if your getting SNR and AGC,are you sure that your getting all 4 lines off the dish.....connected I mean.

        Tried that. no good.

Also tried disconnecting all sat boxes in case they were interfering somehow.
Even tried hooking up the sky box inline (from the dm 500 output) in case that might magically help.

Someone mentioned that 70% SNR might be ok for digibox, but not for dm500. gonna try getting a better alignment on the dish tom to see if that helps.
