Only recieving few channels after scan HELP!

Hi guys

Hoping you can help me, im going nuts looking for the answer

I have a dreambox 500s, I have flashed a pli Jade 3 image to it, I have using dreambox edit added services files to it for UK SLY, the problem I am having after scanning for transponders on the astra 2d I am recieving only a few FTA channels, viewable max 5. I have tried scanning other sats but not making any diefferenc. I have already got a SLY FTV card and box and when connecting to the dish using the same cable I am recieving FTV and FTA channels no problems. I have not set up ccam yet, please help i cant seem to find where I am going wrong???

Shouldn't you be scanning E 28.2 Astra ?

Yh the Astra 2D scan does scan for E 28.2 but nothing more then the few channels, any ideas?

you will only recieve the fta channels 1,2,3,4,5 without moving on. cccam installed will get you up a few more channels to open, but then it will only be like freeview. Then if you want more you are going to need a paid sub card paired to your box or cardshare which cant be discussed on this forum due to the rules. This isnt like cable where you flash the box with firmware, scan then watch tv for free
