    Dreambox 500s Solid green light?

    Hello Folks,
Another newbie here, LOL - There are a few Questions I would be realy greteful if some1 could advise???
Firstly, My 500s has gone from working fine to - Solid green light, wont turn off to standby & tv is getting no signal from it? - It is still in warranty period as only bought it in Nov09, Is it busted or do i just need to flash it a new image??
Secondly, I bought it from dvbmonkey - Is my 500s genuine?
Third - It already had an operating system on it from new - when first turned on it was a picture of the digitalkaos sign, How do i know what version it was? & should i stick with that image version or is it unreliable hence the breakdown?

    welcome to dk jonniryan,
    1) have you tried unplugging it, leave for a few mins and plug back in sometimes they freeze and this is the only way to get them going.
    2) no dvbmonkey sells clones they dont make the sd 500s anymore and havent for a long time. This not to say they are no good i got a couple round my house working fine.
    3) i havent tried dk image on sat but dont see why it should make any difference, if it worked fine quite recently then it should work fine now

why dont u try flashing a new image to the box pli seems to work well on 500s .its possible the image you have at the moment may be corrupt but remember to use dreamup to flash the box.

It was a gemini image that worked in the end,
