DM500 help required

hi ..

I am new here in this forum and wid dreambox as well.. I want to update my dm500 with new image i connected it with my laptop using cross cable & CuteFtp and there in CuteFtp it showing me all files of dreambox.

Now My QUESTION is that how can i update with new image from where i can download new image and in which folder of dreambox i have to place that image, what will be the step for completing this task.

What image is on the box now? That will help to guide you through the process.

As for an image, you could just try the DK image on this site

Digital Kaos - Downloads - Digital Kaos v1.1 Image for Dm500 C/S/T

or google "Dreamboxtools" and find an image that way. There are quite a few out there, all with their pro's and con's. It's up to you to try em out and see which suites you.
