dead dreambox 500s by different power adapter plz

ve got a clone dm 500 s that was working properly with gemini 4.20 image with no problems. watch for a few days. but when i changes ac power adapter it will not power up no green light or red at all. i put back the original power supply for dm 500s that came with the box but will not light up. could it be a fuse? mainbord??? i know for a fact it s not wrong image. the power from mains to the adapter/power suplly is on cos there sound and amber light on the power supply. any ides plz?? thanks guys

my mate plugged the wrong adapter in and now his won't come on,he smelt burning can this be fixed,Thanks and sozz for jumping in mate
