For me with a dm500s clone with TE28F640 jtag recovery with Dreamflash worked correctly.
There was only problem getting the box recognized by Dreamflash, I plug power cord and gave recognize command at the same time.

You've fixed it?, You could boot to facilitate TE28F640.
