dm800 losing settings

hi there,

have bought a (cheap) s/h DM800HD clone but it has a problem.

When i first got it, the display said dream multimedia ERROR -> on first boot , so I put a clone safe image 0f BH 0.12 and it worked a treat.

However, I turned it off overnight and when I got home the next day, the ERROR-> message was back.

I did a bit of searching on the forum & I telnetted into box and it said bootloader 65? I then reflashed witha modified mafarj? image and again, it worked great. However, next day the ERROR-> message was back!!!!

Also, I put a fan inside to cool the reknowned overheating problem.

I also have a genuine DM800 and its never had a problem.

Any ideas out there? do they have batteries internally? it seems to lose its memory/flash/settings

come on......anybody have a clue whats happening to my dm800? Im struggling here and really need your support...please

to all those that read the query...the answer was a loose sim card holder. One of the sockets holding the pins in had broken off.

holding down the sim card during power up solved the problem. Permanent fix involved fusing the plastic together with a soldering iron.

I now have a perfect clone dm800hd running Black Hole 0.12

I just read this thread and yes it us the aim card if display error shame didn't read it sooner could of told you, glad it sorted thou
