help with dreambox will be appreciated

Hi, my name is Naz, just joined this forums couple of days back, was wondering if anyone can help me with a problem thats occurring in my dreambox. First of all, LET ME JUST CLEAR THINGS UP

• GENUINE DM500S
• GEMINI 4.20 IMAGE INSTALLED
• CCcam 2.1.4 installed
• CCcam server subscription
• Sky mini dish 28.2E
• DIRECT CONNECTION TO DREAMBOX (no splitter)
• NEW MTI QUAD LNB INSTALLED
• FINALLY 20MB INTERNET CONNETION

The problem is that my channels are not changing quickly, i mean when i change from 1 channel to another it takes time to load up, i was thinking the lnb must be gone, so replaced the lnb, no difference only signal strength increased, so then i checked my broadband, nothing wrong with that. Anyone knows what it could be??

if its a clone you shouldnt be using a gemini image mate,i would try another image.

i assume you are useing c/s with out going to far look at your CCcam Channel prio + limet your hop to hop2

try to pull out the plug from the mains while the box is on then back, wait until the box reboots. that should sort it out.

sorry just read your post again i see your using a Cccam sub that is your problem NDS dont like pay servers you wont get it any better its probably over subscribed thats why it take for ever to change channel your lucky its not freezing

Plus get rid of gemini because your dreambox will be a clone unless you bought it about 3 years ago as they are not made any more only clone and gemini has a history of killing clone boxes

i assume it is a clone, your absolutely correct, it is over subscribed, it does freeze couple of times, whats your best advise, shall i get rid of Gemini and start from scratch or get an upgrade like dm600, dm800hd or dm500hd. All i want is all the channels on 28.2E fully working order. Any solutions. Thanks for the info though

the box wont make a diffrence it your server thats the problem
you can try the nabilo image but sky is the hardest to watch and payservers are not the best

I see, sky is the hardest to watch, but i did get all the channels on the server working , but the channel swapping is a pain. i did look into cccam prio, made one myself but didnt work. also if i dont use pay servers what shall i use?

Even a fat fellow like me can find every thing needed to get set up and enjoy watching tv.

Mate no disrespect, i have set up everything and watching all channels channels on 28.2E including the encrypted ones, so i dont know what you talking about. All i wanted to know is how to get my channels to encode(swap) faster. Now with the help of this forum i have come to know i could get better out of the box i am owning right now and i can resolve the problem or just get another box like the DM800 which is future proof and start from scratch. Still in search of a solution to the current box though
