i have a dm500 clone (envision).the problem i am facing is that my box hangs after a couple of minutes after boot,whatever channel i am watching keeps working,but my box does not respond,its like it is hung.Help.

which image r u using? and what is the dish setup u have?
i used to get this on Gemini images and 3 LNB dish.. but very rare though
one more reason is overheating.. the clones have overheating issues

J-tag
I am using EDG image,but this started when i was using a pli image i have tried many images but in vain still have the same problem,i have j-tagged my box,and flasged an EDG image but i am still having the same problem.the ibm settop chip gets heated up and the box hangs.if i keep the box on for some time when it hangs the box will not boot sometimes its just the green led that comes on and somtimes its no led on.then i have to j-tag the box to get it to come on again,could it be a hardware problem?Comment

i also had a lot of problems with new images on my DM500.
Maybe you can do it with this version of dreamup its without networkconnection so you need a 0 modemcable.

With this you can load the latest PLI images.
