    HELPP!!!!!
    I am a dummy in DMbox i have just installed a image on my DM 500.
    the DK 1.1 !!! but i cant reach my dmbox via ftp anymore and on my tv screen i get digital-kaos logo thats what now!!!!!!!!!!! :.(

      First thing you need to do is go into network settings and change the ip address so you can connect to your box

          i have a router the ip is dynamic...do i have to resset the router so that the box get a new ip???

                  This is a reamde file this file was with the image!

                  here is a backup of my working dk1.1 image
                  to flash use dreamup when it says flash erase choose nien
                  ip is set to 192.168.0.5
                  it has the latest rom fixes.latest pic icons and i have put dreambox editor on it in the plugins for manually putting keys in.
                  i find to manually put keys in you have to press the buttons hard or they do not appear on screen.but this auto updates at the mo anyway.
                  just helpful if anything changes in the future.
                  channel scanning
                  press menu
                  then go to setup
                  then go to service searching there is adrop down menu to choose your area.
                  this is not set to widescreen you can change this by going to menu, setup,av settings and change to 16;9
                  once channels have been scanned go to bbc1 then go to slysports press and hold info button it will show evocamd on screen press ok it will restart
                  emu then wait and channels should clear
                  to enable picicons press yellow,choose kaos extra settings,go to picicon disabled press rght until "/var/etc/picon" then exit menu press and hold standy
                  select reboot now
                  to edit channels i use dreambox edit you can also make your own bouquets with that software
                  hope this helps a few people and finally thanks to
