May be a silly question but are you switching on the dreambox AFTER you get the message ? Have you tried different versions of dreamup, Turned off your firewall and made sure it is a null modem you have connected.

    THE TRUTH
    The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Try an earlier version of Dreamup. If you don't a response from Dreamup within a few seconds, it's not going to work.

why dont u use flashwizard instead? it is easier and faster.. no need for null cable.. just connect ur box to the network and set the ip in the flashwizard options window.

Press Menu >> Expert Setup >> Communication Setup

u will see the IP there.

Run Flashwizard,, click the lower icon "Configuration and Utilities".. on the right, type the box's IP

Click the upper icon "Install a frimware into FLASH memory" .. then click the folder icon on the right and browse to ur image

thats all.. after you get a msg that the installation is done. Power off ur box and power on again
