    newbie seeking enlightenment

I have a DM500s mounted on a stab mount hh120 motor with a universal lnb.

I have set the motor up using my latitude obtained from google earth.

I have full control over the motor from the receiver and have recently replaced the lnb + cable and cable to the motor and the motor itself.

I am unable to lock onto any transponders from thor or astra.

Any guidance would be gratefully received.

    Thankyou in advance.

      Hi

      Thankyou for your reply.

      Just looked at it.

My latitude is 53.6 so I have set my motor to 54
      My longitude is -2.9

According to the website I have an obsticle 50m and 27.5m high. This possibly could be either a flag pole or warehouses as I live across the road from a Jewsons. The warehouses are well more than 100m away.

There is however a small brick security hut which looking at the map is a possibility.

The lnb has no markings on it, so I am not sure how to calculate the skew.

I have mouted the dish onto the side of the house level with the bottom of the upstairs windows.

      Any guidance would be appreciated.

      Thank you in advance.
