    Using DM600 on Sky Dish

I am moving over to skytv and wondering what use I can get out of my old DM600 if I fit a sat tuner in it and connect it to the Sky dish.
All advise and pointers much appreciated, I am searching around for what info I can find and will share.
Guess a lot of people will be going this route now post N3..

Ok reading around some, I have found where I want to get started. Going to order a Sky Freesat card and try to get it going in the dreambox to view standard channels in another room.

    Questions:
    1. Best image for freesat on sky dish
    2. Do I need any special cams to match.
    3. Do I need power from box to dish.
    4. How well do this work in Ireland, anybody got something similar going.

you will need to install atleast cccam 2.1.3 in the box for the free to air card to work and then set it as your default cam,you can install it using the dm600 remote control but you would need to connect the dm600 to your router using an ethernet cable for a minute or two to do that or you could ftp cccam in to the box using a program called dream control center and your computer would need to be connected to the router for a few minutes using an ethernet cable. the image you use depends on if your box is a clone or an original an original box needs an original image etc ,nabilosat images are clone safe and will work on your box if its a clone, also a lot of people recommend pli jade . thats all you need to open the channels on the fta card (there are only five usa and five usa +1 and fiver and fiver +1 and sky 3 on those cards) if you have a standard sky dish you should have no trouble recieving all the available free channels.
i love it when a dreambox comes together.

Anybody know where to buy the sat tuners for the 600pvr..?

Still haven't got to try this as the crowd I ordered the sat tuner for the 600 from, took 4 weeks to tell me that they didn't have any and send me a refund.

Anybody know where to buy the sat tuners for the 600pvr..?

            goto the official site
            www.dream-multimedia-tv.de/
click retailer. you will get a list of official suppliers
with phone numbers & web address.
or you could google for a bootleg card
