i would def advise you to get a motorized system so many more options open to you when you have one. i have a 1m which picks up more than enough of the sats you will need.there is not much difference in price for dishes a 90cm upto a 1.2 metre any bigger and it would be to big/heavy for a normal motor.and i think you cant go bigger if puting on your house. so depends on yourself for the size i.e where are u fitting on your house etc will maybe determine how big you want to go

A 1m motorised dish will pick up the signal for all you all you need. Not being funny here m8 but have you read up about the Dreambox ? The sat scene is completely different from the cable scene, and most people going over to sat think it's just a matter of getting a box, putting software on and scanning for free tv. If your not 100% sure what it involves, read as much info as you can before you jump in.

          THE TRUTH
          The Hillsborough Independent Panel. 12/09/12

Today's report is black and white. The Liverpool fans were not the cause of the disaster.
The panel has quite simply found 'no evidence' in support of allegations of 'exceptional levels of drunkenness, ticketlessness or violence among Liverpool fans' and 'no evidence that fans had conspired to arrive late at the stadium' and 'no evidence that they stole from the dead and dying'.

Nope... Who ever told you that has a dodgy motor...

My DM500's (2 of them) have never had a problem turning a 1.1.m dish.

iv been using an openmedia with c/s on the motorised sat, works well but iv just upgraded to a dm 800, and added a 400gb hd inside it, and if anyone is thinking if getting one of these from a dm500 let me tell you , you will be amazed at the difference. a cracking buy and i love it (clone to).

top advice, sat is a TOTALY different ball game to sat, but if you can master it, sat totaly blows cable into the weeds.

I heard that also but my DM500 has no bother turning my 1m.

Perhaps it depends on the motor - not all are powerful enough to turn a one metre.

I am using a Moteck 2100 with no bother.

                              I'm based in Liverpool fella.

I have a DM800 & it has no problem turning my dish.

My dish is a 1m motorised (bought for just ?36 off eBay 2nd hand!) & I get Sly Italia, Germany, all the Polish, all the cypriat & greek channels & all the Nordic.

You cant get Al-Jazeera & other middle eastern channels without a much bigger dish, at least 1.3m, & then its illegal to have on your house so really not worth it.

Using a decent c/s you should get all the Liverpool games.
