Changing box

Hi all,
My mate has a motorised dish with a technomate box, he is now changing it for a DM500s. Is there a quick way to set up the DM? It is flashed with jade and a channel list 1w - 28e. The technomate will drive the motor to 1w and reception on BBC is excellent. My question is are the settings saved in the motors memory and will the DM pick them up???

from what I know, No. Setting files set by Technomate would not be in the motor. The last setup I did from a non dm box to dm meant I had to reconfigure and enter the settings

I heard there is a soft that would save the setting file from a non dm to dm but not sure where to find it. Personally, I am more comfortable redoing everything again to be safe. I also found the tuner on the DMs to be more sensitive to the other boxes. Eg DM800 gets me more channels on the same Dish/LNB combo than the 500.
