    quick question

    Hi all.
    I am considering to take the dive to get a satellite box for my room. we have a sky dish on the roof, but not a sky subscription, (have virgin now). will i still be able to use the 500s box to recieve freeview channels?

    yes m8 but you get very many channels....even channel 4 and 5 are encypted

        thanks for quick reply, as long as i get more than nothing, freeview doesnt seem to have made it to me yet, and analouge tv is more snow than show.

          Sheeta have u considered a 500c (cable) or one of the other equivalents.??.Having said that the 500s will get S*y and if u wanted to join a payserver

            i did look a bit at the cable alternatives, but to do that would require far cable routing, . but i am scared of the dreambox's they seem to require more work, and seeing as i am a beginner.... unless i am missing some sort of advantage the dreamboxes have over a technomate!
