    DM 500s and Standalone Positioner

Hi guys was wondering if anyone has got their 500s working properly with a standalone 36v positioner. ie the dish is moved independant of the channel selection. I would have thought I should have used the "non standard user defined config" in the Sat Config menu but when I allocate different LNB's to each of the sat I want to store I end up losing the signal. If I leave the LNB at 0 for all the sats stored then the config reverts to "many sats via diseq rotor" and I end up with frequency problems.

    Any suggestions or comments welcomed

I think you need to tune all the sats to the positioner first, then connect to dreambox & setup as if your using a diseqc motor.

Thanks for that Sicilian. Unfortunately my positioner box is an edon 2120 which is not diseq compatible. I have all the sats stored in it but it is totally independant of the channel selection. (Ive had it for about 10 years) If I cannot find anyone with a similar setup I think I will invest in a v box.
