dm500 too slow to connect to pc

i have a dm500 clone. when i put the ip address of the box in my pc to view the web inerface. the username and pasword screen comes up then i type root and dreambox. the page doesnt seem to load up. also when i try to connect to dreambox control centre 2.95 thats takes time to identify my box. also when i connect to dreamweaver box dit the whole pc freezes and i have to switch it off from the mains to get it working again. i have tried many diffeent ethernet cables and changed images but sill havnt had any luck. could someone help me??

I had the same issue here and i had to send back as it took about 20secs to connect and would hang up and when i tried to upload image if failed. ping address of DM500 by running a cmd then do a ping 192.168.1.50 -t (or what ip address is) and see if returns ping the same. Mine came up with a delay and sometimes failed

i had the same problem i was using an old hub/router at 10mbits speed ive upgraded to a 100mbits now all is ok
