have you selected the correct sat option as the default option is usually 19.2e, i have done this myself before and wondered why i cant lock so just check that.

selected the correct sat option as the default option is snr 64 agc 63 ber 0 will not lock onto signal

Have you selected " one single sat " . I'm on 28.2e also,had same problem before, by selecting this option I got sorted right away.

if the less the signal lock you have tow option to repairing . one resistance inside the green in picture make jambing wire very small and think wire after starting the box and wait some minute . its working a second option if not working need to fix one diode size 407 its jambing also near the capistor .

Just got a DM500s and wondered why I couldnt see any channels after loading a SKY UK bouquet to it. This was the problem!, I hadnt selected one single sat .

I have same problem with this box, I have not been able to get it working. Very rarely it works for a few minutes then signal gone again, but most of time is simply shows no lock. I know my dishes are ok as I have recently put a new one up and it works fine with standard Sky box.

I have shorted the green resistor marked F70 but still not getting a signal. I don't understand your second option, please can you explain in more detail.
