Low signal strength on Sky sports1 +few others

    Using a D500S clone...
Most of my channels are ok, with AGC around 92% and SNR at 82%, BER negligible.. SP1 (+a few others) have 85% and 73/74% and BER up at 15,000 - 20,000. Basically unwatchable..
I'm in the south with a 45cm dish and quad lnb. The smallest adjustment to the dish results in the signal unlocking.... so Iknow it's aligned spot on. TRied rotating the LNB as well...
    Sky sports 2 is 95% and 85%, BER 0.
Would marginal trees cause this type of problem? (I've swapped the LNB and same results.)
I'm thinking the solution will be a 60 cm dish with a 0.1 LNB
    TIA

Thx, done that already. My son has a 45cm dish and it's all 100% there... Ordered a 60 cm dish. I'll report back with the results at the weekend.

Have you tried an inline amp from Ebay for about ?5? If not than you should deffo try one before upgrading anything else.

TRied the inline amp, no difference, which is not surprising as both the signal and noise are getting amplified.OK so the noise bandwidth will be attenuated a little, but the overall SNR won't change by much.
Up on the roof to fit a 60 cm dish and 0.2 LNB today...
