homeplug issue with dm500s and dm800 is fine

well fellas just trying to set up dm500 on network its not showing up ,my dm800 is on home plug set up also with no problems,,i must mention im a beginner on both these boxes is there any thing i should do on 500s like settings to show it on network, thanks

you may need to reboot 500, and then reboot the modem mate. as the 500 leaes may need to be released, just try it it should work mate

ok sorry got dm500s to show up in menu,had wrong ip for box i then entered user; root and password; dreambox and now in menu trying to up load a satellite menu in to var/ etc/ i tried to copy and paste to know avail , do i need another program or is the answer in this menu where all the box functions are showing ,am lost

are you trying to put some thing from the 800 in to the 500?

no i got a sat list from one of the fellas on here because i only got the 500 andits not tuning in all the stations fta that the dm800 is so want to some how insert sat list in to var/ etc/ folder but not sure how.. i can now connect to box through pc but it wont copy and paste can you imagine that ,,

Are you using dreambox edit and transfering the files with that?
Take it you not uses the same files for the dm500 and dm800 as they wont work,one being enigma1 other enigma 2
