whats the best dm500s image

hi guys, was wonderin whats the best image for dm500s, i had pli jade 3 with the epg plugin but it keeps crashin an i have to reflash the box, doesnt crash on other images, so does any other image have a epg plugin like plis

sqlite that worked fine but the box kept freezin an when i turn it off/on it just stays on the pli load up image an i have to reflash, so im guessing its the image

Is it mounted or in tmp?

Are you using the radiotimes xml or ukxml? Either way even with a mounted drive on a DM500 you will come across these type of problems. But with a mounted drive it should be less of a problem?

Dependent on the box and image, some clones work fine with a mount or even a restricted tmp mount. Just a matter of trial and error with the Dm500 and image/epg plugin selection.

radiotimes mate ill look for rytec and try that, does it run off a specific image

Pli Jade as you already have or OpenPli but you can manually install to other images. As said with the Dm500 its hit and miss at the moment.

How many days EPG are you trying to get? Try keeping it to two or three days even on a mount.

I could never get Sqlite to run stably on a Dm500s.
I had to limit the epg to 1 days listings ,mounted on my pc,but it would slow the receiver down and cause it to lock up.
In the end I gave up and got a 600s which runs a 7 day guide flawlessly due to the extra Ram .
In my opinion the 500s doesnt have enough memory to handle the large epg.db file .

only one day, will i still be able to use sqlite on jade 2, if so ill give that a go

If you edit the epg.db file it improves it to a point but as you said the DM500 is not ideal for EPG. Although I have seen it work fine up to two or three days on some clones.

l tried a few and even my dm600 with a harddrive dosnt work ?

right iv now reflashed with pli jade3, installed sqlite again, after mapping channels try to manual retrieve epg but it stops after about 10 seconds, on the mount it has an epg file an a empty folder called log, any ideas
