    DM500hd clone vs DM500hd original

    hi dk massive,

    Im just about to change over to hd and i want to know i any body has tested a DM500hd clone yet.
    Also i have seen a DM8000hd clone aswell but i expect this would be a little too expensive for what i want but again has anybody tested this yet.

    Out of all the hd DM cloned boxes from what i have seen and read about the DM800hd seems to be the most stable with the 76 bootloader and the 2.01 sim, but the only box out of all of them that has an true HDMI out is the DM500hd.

    If any body can shed any light on the situation this would be great

      Hi

      There is not any real DM500HD clone on the market. Hope it will be soon but not yet.

      Most of latest DM800HD clone can use BL76. But remember there are two (maybe 3) different sim cards. Sim 2.01 and Ferrari Card. Each one has own BL which is not compatible with other card.
      DM800HD has HDMI out but is made on DVI connector.

              There are already a few on the Market & Been Sold on Alibaba etc.

              But:

              Most are nothing more than Dreambox 800HD's re-housed in the New Dreambox Case with a Fan on the Lid and in some cases a screen on the Front. DM 500HD Dreambox products, buy DM 500HD Dreambox products from alibaba.com

              The Others I have seen do not have a 400mzh Broadcom Processor they contain a 250mzh Philips NXP processor or 300mzh Mips Processor You can check it out Here Hot sale Dreambox 500hd products, buy Hot sale Dreambox 500hd products from alibaba.com Now these are no good to anybody !

              Because Dreambox have updated the Hardware, The System Boards Architecture and are running Broadcom Chipsets, it would cost to much for the Clone manufactures to replicate 100%.

              So If you decide to Buy a Clone 500HD you are going to Get a Weak Processor Maybe only 250mzh NXP and God only Knows what Else.

              I would sugest Staying well away from These Receivers, They do not even come close to been a Clone .... If you Get my Drift..

              In the majority of cases the Processor is not even stated http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/32...box_500hd.html a good reason for this is they do not want you or the Dealers to Know. When these are advertised and start been sold in the UK most of the information will be copy & Pasted from the Dreambox Website and will in most cases state they have a 400mzh Broadcom processor They Dont !!!!!

                  great info mate, will be very careful and so should everyone else.

                  iv just got a clone dm800hd with the newish 76 bootloader so that will do me for now.

                  my contact in china is going to let me know when the new clones are ready (500HD and 8000hd) so i can ask her what is under the hood of these little babes.

                              The Technical Features listed on the website you mentioned are Just copy & Pasted from the Dreambox Website, with all the example I have given above its unlikley these Clone receivers have a Broadcom Chipset (Processor & Tuner card) Its also likely these Receivers have a far lesser processing chip than been advertised.

                              I would not buy one untill other people have bought them and opened them up, also there are differances with these receivers from the different Vendors selling them as you can see from my previous post.

                              Some come with a 250mzh Philips NXP processor
                              some others come with a 300mzh Mips Processor

                              You Just do not know whats under the Hood untill you Buy one, I most cases many will be very disapointed when opened it up only to find a 250 or 300mzh processor and an old version tuner card from a clone 800HD, as the technology has moved on with the latest original Dreamboxs especially the new 500HD.

                              Be Careful is the message & dont Trust whats been stated as its Technical Features

                                  I went for an 800hd clone from dvbseller....rip off merchants, sold it within 2 weeks...get original.
