    DM 500s WON'T SCAN

    Looking for advice please

    I am tryng to set up a new DM 500s (clone bought on Ebay) for a mate, flashed with Nabilosat Darkstar as I prefer this image, I have 2 dishes 1 that is motorised the other is pointing at 28.2e,

    My problem is that I have tried to scan 28.2 but I am only picking up 1 transponder, I have tried both dishes but to no avail, I have tried all configurations but it will only pick up the 1 transponder.

    I then had a go at 19.2e through my motorised system and got no transponders at all, I then flashed with PLI Jade and still have the same problem so it is not the image.

    Could any of you experts out there pinpoint the problem before I try and get hold of the seller and send the box back, my own guess is that the tuner is faulty,

      Try putting a channel list on and see if you can receive any channels,you can download channel lists from the blue button menu

              I have the same exactly the same problem with a Dreambox 500 that I have recently bought from Ebay. Did the seller have water in his name. I have emailed him with no response.

                  i got a few 500s off ebay all the boxs had to go back, they was all ****ed
                  ebay seller his name is walter yes, just make sure if you buy from ebay not to leave feedback intill your 100% sure the boxs are good!
                  he told me he reflashed and sold them again, the buyers will find there boxs wont last to long!

                          Thanks for you replsy, the seller has agreed to pay ?40 (cost ?45) as he put no returns in the ad. The tuner is definitely knackered.

                              bought two boxes off ebay in August and have tuner problems with both. The seller wont answer my mails. Was your box black with a switch on the back by any chance?

                                  open a paypal dispute befor its to late mate, the seller should at least reply to you
