Strange 500s problem

I have a clone with pli on it. On some channels it has really bad random white or black horizontal broken lines through the picture can be any where on the screen.
I have tried different scarts, very expensive rca cables all to no avail. Wierd thing is when streaming using dreamstream the picture on that is perfect, but if you look at the tv it still has intermitent lines going through it.
I have looked in the box and cant see anything obvious.

Has anyone any ideas?

maybe the tv ports?
have u tried another box on the same tv? i had similar problem with my dm800 box when HD channels had no sound.. only to find out that the HDMi port in tv was broken

I've tried another box on my tv which was fine.
I tried this box on one of my other tv's and it still has the same problem.

Does anybody know what controls the video output of this box. i.e output of the scarts and component output. Is there any perticular chip that controls this or is it down to the power pc cpu.

i have no clue about that.. but since u r in middle of troubleshooting, u can install a different image and give it a shot.. DreamElite or Nabilosat or even Gemini
