DM500 cant lock on

Hi there had a look round the forum and couldn't find an answer to this question so here goes.

Got a DM500s this week, plugged it in and it worked fine. Had PLI installed and found all channels. Spoke to supplier who told me that the image supplied was locked down so could change c:line etc and would have to reflash. Did this and now can no longer get a lock or sync to find any channels.

Can I get a PLI image with all bouquets and services pre config'd for sl* astra 28 so i can get round the scanning issue..........

Flash whichever image you prefer, I think from reading on this forum for the DM500 the Pli Jade 3 image is best. Then get the DM500 bouqet from this forum, i think its on one of the sticky threads and upload it with dreamedit or dreamset. You dont need an image with a bouquet, you can do both separately.

Have flashed the box and installed the bouquet but still no channels. SNR is static about 63% and this doesn't change even if i remove the sat cable. Seems to be a hardware issue to me as channels were working and then just disappeared.

ok do you mean you ahve installed the service files and bouquets and they still aqrnt clearing? have you reinstalled the c line?

havent touched the cline yet, just trying to get the FTA channels working. No picture on bbc1 or e4 etc. I assume that means there no signal recieved???

This on a fixed or motorised dish??
Normally loading the bouquets is enough to get you started.

its a fixed dish. When the box arrived it worked straight away, all channels clear and no glitching. but then suddenly all channels stopped working. since then i have reflashed with PLI and nabillo images but cant get a lock or sync done.

Have you selected 28.2 in your set up and got a lock on a strong transponder??

no thats the problem the box cant get a lock on to astra 28.2.

Ive got the same problem as you danaconda, since two week ago. I thought my LNB might be ~~~~ed so I replaced it with a good quality one but still the same.

I tried scanning for channels with 3 different dishes and still get no lock, synch.
The SNR always stays @ 63%
AGC goes up/down 30/53.
BER is always at 0

got the Sky dish pointing @ 28.2E
got an 80cm dish still pointing @ 19.2E
got an 1mtr motorised dish pointing all over the place and still cant get a signal/lock.

Ive got the dish pointing at Thor now and just scanned and nothing, its saying cant lock on.

Like you Ive also installed several images but just cant get it pick up anything any more.

Look at this post and select a strong transponder for 28.2

Make sure you have a good set of bouquets that have the latest sat xml files so all the transonders are there.
I had same problem on my first Dm 500 with snr stuck at 63%

Hi, I assume you reflashed using cable ?
I have found that by flashing over lan this creates problems.
Try reflashing using an older Pli image and see how you get on.

Last note, make sure you are not using splitters .If you have an old sky box plug this in and check if free channels are there, this takes the doubth out of wheather you have a problem with dish, Lnb or cable run.
Let me know how you get on.

Well, Ive just taken the cable out of the Sky+ box, connected to DM, done a scan and its showing "waiting for tuner lock on" and then 0 transponders with 0 services scanned.

And as said, tried several different images new and old, but same results. The images were loaded via cable using dream up.

Don't know if it'll help or not but I had the same issue a while a go. I selected one single sat in the drop down tab,I think its above the sat list drop down tab and then it locked on for me. Nabilo darkstar11.
