Guyz,

got a 800 with nabilosat and had it set up using usals, today switched to a 500 with PLI/jade and put exact same settings in (north and east) and getting no lock its saying has signal but no lock and doing a scan picks up nothing

ideas please

Have you manually adjusted it until it locks onta a sat? Just one step east/west at a time?

yes i did and nothing, doesnt matter how much i move the dish funilly enough i never seem to loose signal

Exact long and lat settings? Did you ftp the up to date services over?

yes exact setting from multimap (work ok on me 800)

services ?? not sure what you mean if channels i downloaded from server 2 days ago

In the box are you saying as the 800 works ok on same dish/cable

na mate cant be, i unscrew the 500 and put me 800 on and lovely pictures, put he 500 back on and nothing......confused and tired

All the obvious possibilities have been covered, it might be worth flashing a different image and see if that helps. Nabilosat is a good image for the 500

I had a similar sounding problem when changing my existing TM600 for a clone DM500.

It turned out that when I used a scart connection to the TV, it wouldn't switch Diseqc. Changing the cable to the RCA connection, and the problem went away.

i got rid of PLI/jade and replaced with gemini4.2 was at the stage where if it wasnt clone safe i didnt care (the sledgehammer was so close) all settings same as before and working great
