cant get Tting card to up date in dreambox 500

hi all , Great forum i've been reading posts on here which have helped me set up my motorized system from scratch i've been at it for a week and a day but am nearly there so thanks to every one.

my problem is I have bought a Tring plus card which was activated by seller. however as they require updating every month I need it to be updated.

I am using a gemini image and downloaded " Mgcamd 1.3 and Newcs 1.65 ' directly from my db 500 and installed them. it is my understanding from reading on forums that as the tring card is conax cam encrypted, mgcamd and newcs as a pair is needed to be running . so i did have them both running as a pair all night and most of today but no update .

I also downloaded the config files for both cams but have not edited any thing in the configs ..this is where im stuck. Do i need to edit anything in config file and if so what and which file .

A few things to mention is that i have done plenty of reading on the subject but most if not all posts seem to be out dated interms of how things have moved on since the comments were written and lots of the information on this subject is very vague to me .

Also this card is new and i have not had it working before. It's the first time i'm updating it. I've contacted seller and its definitely activated.

I hope some one can help me I've been trying for ages .

if you are sharing it there is a easy way but i can not talk about it here. basically let others do it for you

Is there any way to make it au in my dream box using cams and editing config files ?
I do know how to edit config files using dreambox control center I just don't know what I should edit .
