    dcc error

Hi i am trying to use dreambox control centre to connect to my dreambox 500s .on the connections page it shows a red line connecting the computer ,dreambox, and router(the router shows that both the dreambox and pc have connections),the dreambox and router have numbers in boxes in dcc ,these numbers start with 10.0. the computer shows a 192.168 number and a pop up window shows "error 10057 in function send socket is not connected " when i click reconnect under the pc the error keeps showing.the dreambox has pl jade on it if that makes any difference.

if your DM is connected with internet go to expert menu internet connection get the IP from there
then go to Dcc edit the ip in Dcc in the right side and Dcc will conect

Thanks very much,i searched in the boxes under the router and dm and accepted the correct ip numbers.now is all ok .I thought it was a computer connection problem because the box underneath said reconnect .I have had to connect this way because my new usb serial adapter doesnt work

yes.. use DreamUP to flash and buy a USB to RS232 converter..

USB 2.0 to 9pin RS232 convertor serial DB9 adapter on eBay (end time 06-Nov-10 00:47:00 GMT)

if you have Vista on your machine it may not work..

You may have to search online for drivers for it to work with win7, as i had to buy one about a month ago and it never came with win7 drivers. Once you have the right drivers it should work fine.

Win 7 will search online for drivers or you can search once you get the info from the product or ask who send you it if they have a link..

failing that google Windows 7 USB to RS232 driver
