    Null modem cable to flash a clone 500s

    Hi I purchased what I thought was a null modem cable from ebay here is the item number 310230240573. However when I try to flash my clone box using Dreamup it won't work, I don't know if I have got the correct cable and secondly if Dreamup is the problem? Any help greatly appreciated.

    Use Dreamup 1.3.3.4 not all versions work for everyone and also try it with null modem cable plus ethernet cable together.

      I dont think you have the right cable. Unless I am mistaken you have bought a serial cable which is an RS232 cable, just like the null modem cable. However, the wiring on both these cables is different. Not sure how much you know about wiring but you could change the serial cable so that it is a null modem cable.

        its a lot quicker to flash via the ethernet/network it took me 20mins to flash pli via null cable
