    Low signal on DM500S

The tuner on my DNM500S isn't working as it should. On my 90cm fixed dish ( 28.8E) a lot of channels are picked up which have low signal strengh, some are ok. There is no pattern ie. V or H high or low band so i'm trying to buy another tuner but find it very difficult to find a dealer in the UK. Most posts i've read deal with the 22Khz switching Q71,72. Is there any other mods for BSBE1-702B.

DM500'S dont have interchangeable tuner cards. well not plug and play ones any way. by the time you buy one and faff around with soldering it in place etc. it would have cost you more than to just replace the box.

I have two DM500S and one has the onboard tuner BSBE1-702B which is the one with low signal problems. I know this as my main dish is 1.8m on a H-H 1224 motor and there sre no problems with signal on 28.8E. The other DM500S is silver and has a removable tuner, not the same as DM800 etc but still swapable just the same. Time and effort isn't a problem, I enjoy doing it and, for me, is part of the hobby.
Just looking for a soucre or info on tuners.

the second box is not a DM500 if it has a plug and play tuner as dream never released a plug and play tuner for that receiver. it's a clone thats why your having trouble finding one as very few were released like that.

In fact both of them are clones but then I don't think that matters.
If the tuner is used in other sat boxes maybe someone can tell me. Removing the tuner, if soldered, and replacing into the 500s is no problem.
